Growing Interest in Scrap Transport Trailers

2023-03-07

Interest in scrap transport trailers continues to grow. Manufacturers of trailers and dump trucks are competing to design vehicles that combine low curb weight with high durability. The lighter the vehicle, the more cargo it can carry — resulting in significant savings over the product’s entire lifecycle.
To remain competitive in the market, Feber has set a goal to develop a trailer that reduces fuel consumption while increasing payload capacity. As a result of collaboration between our engineers and SSAB — a leading manufacturer of high-strength structural steel — Feber now offers an unrivaled trailer for scrap transport.

The so-called “scrap trailer” features laser-welded side walls with a thickness of 3 mm (upper section) and 4 mm (lower section), integrated with the top edge. All parts of the body, including the floor, are made of Hardox 450 steel, while the trailer frame is built from Strenx 700 steel.

The product stands out for its reliability, build quality, and full customization to meet customer expectations. Its lightweight and compact design, made from the best components available on the market, makes it one of the lightest in its class. We offer scrap transport trailers with capacities of 48, 50, 55, 60, 70, and 77 m³, various rear closure types, steel or aluminum frames, and a wide range of additional equipment.
