Lightweight Scrap Trailer – Modern Feber Scrap Tipper

For years, it was widely believed that trailers for scrap transport had to be “armored” and therefore heavy, due to the nature of the cargo. However, the Feber vehicle factory in Sieradz now offers a scrap trailer that is both durable and lightweight.
This is a tipper with a capacity of 48 m³ and a weight of only 7,250 kg. To achieve such a low weight, the body made of Swedish Hardox 450 steel is mounted on an aluminium frame. The technical specification is completed by Jost Weightmaster axles, Alcoa aluminium wheels with Continental Hybrid HT3 tires, LT aluminium landing legs, Aspöck Eco Led III electrical system, and Knorr-Bremse pneumatic system.
This solution has reduced the weight by over 500 kg compared to a standard steel-frame scrap trailer. A 500 kg lighter trailer means 500 kg more payload. Most importantly, the customer has been using the vehicle for several weeks and is very satisfied with its performance.
